Job Description

Underwriting Team Leader, Kent. £highly competitive

This is a fantastic opportunity to join the leadership team within a regional office of a large and very well respected Insurance operation.
Your role will be to lead, motivate and manage a team of experienced underwriters. You will also play a key role as part of the management team in the branch. Setting key goals and objectives for each individual. Implementing branch and companies strategies. Working closely with brokers including meeting regularly to ensure key business objectives are being met as well as maximising business opportunities. The key is ensuring that first class customer service standards is delivered to broker partners.

Individuals must have the relevant experience and background within a commercial insurance underwriting operation. You'll be proactive and able to work at pace in a competitive market environment. You will have strong operational management, leadership and change management skills to take your team from strength to strength with the opportunity to develop business through project work and data analysis. A commercial background in property and casualty and motor trade lines of business would be advantageous. ACII qualified or making good progress towards the qualification would be a distinct advantage.
