Job Description

PHP Web Developer, PHP Software Developer, PHP Software Engineer Negotiable - dependent on skills Chatham, Kent (20 mins from Maidstone)

Who are we looking for? We are an agency looking for a brilliant PHP Web Developer to join our web development team in Chatham, Kent.

Our code powers some very important websites and web apps and our clients expect work of the highest quality. We need someone who understands that QA is a core part of PHP development.

You would be the fifth developer in the team, working directly under our Technical Director. We would rather give you the freedom to come up with your own creative solutions to the problems we give so being able to use initiative is a big plus.

You'll find that the scope of our work is very varied. Even when you're working on a run of the mill CMS based site, the likelihood is that it will involve some complex data handling or API work.

Do you have the skills are we looking for? As a minimum you need to know the following like the back of your hand:

* Object-oriented PHP * MVC programming practices * A few database types, including things like MySQL and SQLite * Test-driven development with PHPUnit

You'll be top of our list if you: * Have experience with Hudson/Jenkins * Can write well thought out, abstract classes * Know the ins and outs of Jquery * Know the key concepts of Agile programming * Have a strong work ethic but know how to have fun * Zend skills
