Job Description
An opportunity has arisen to join a busy team supporting the Depot Manager of a multi-billion turnover UK market leader at its depot in East London to operate the weighbridge using our in-house system and assist with admin and transport. Interested? Read on.
This is a busy but friendly environment and the weighbridge operator "meets and greets" suppliers and hauliers bringing material into the depot. You must be able to “think on your feet” to answer queries from people who expect an immediate, but accurate response. You will be responsible for data input to our systems, so attention to detail is paramount – we cannot stress this too highly enough.
Whilst my client is ready to provide training in most aspects of the business, they would need candidates to have proven experience in a busy environment and good communication (written and verbal) and IT skills, particularly Excel. The ability to “muck in” with the team and demonstrate a “will do – never say die” attitude are essential qualities to bring to this role. A sense of humour, a friendly personality and the ability to stay calm under pressure will all contribute to you becoming a valuable member of the team.
Solid references, including a CRB check, essential. As this role includes a very early start, you must live within reasonable travelling distance of E16. Minimum salary quoted, but negotiable for experience.
