Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor, Maidstone.  Our client is a leading organisation within the motor industry and one of the UK’s largest independent suppliers of high quality automotive aftermarket products to independent garages and national brands.  They are seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor for their Maidstone hub to provide leadership and direction for a hub-based warehouse and driver team to deliver service and inventory objectives.

In the role of Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor, you will be handling £1m worth of stock and 22,000 parts numbers in a 14,000 sq foot warehouse.   You will be supervising 11 people and 5 vans, so previous warehouse and logistics experience is a must.  

You will have responsibility for inventory in the distribution hub with a focus on minimising gross inventory but maximising availability, this position will require a detailed knowledge of inventory and resource management.

As an experienced people manager and inspirational leader in a similar trade or retail organisation, with a customer service ethic, you will be able to demonstrate how you’ve lead a team to deliver first class customer service with a “first time, right time” attitude.   You will have support from a regional hub team and the Service Quality Manager, in addition to a suite of KPIs to help you keep the operation at its most effective.

You will work a 40-45 hour week but you must be flexible on the start times which may include early mornings.  The position of Warehouse and Logistics Supervisor offers a salary of circa £20,000 pa to £25,000 pa depending on experience.
